If you’re planning on selling your North Jersey home, what should you do before putting it on the market? Should you go all out and redo the entire kitchen? Or should you stick to smaller projects?

When looking to add value to your home when selling, we highly recommend keeping projects to a minimum. Big projects often cost more and last longer than expected, both of which can really hurt a home sale. Stick to the basics: kitchens, bathrooms, carpet. In the kitchen, redoing the wood floors and touching up the paint will do wonders, so you don’t need to tear out the cabinets or countertops!

Really, when selling in our current market, curb appeal is huge. If we can get buyers inside the home, we can paint the vision for them. The key is getting them interested enough to walk through the first door in the first place, and that’s why curb appeal is crucial. The good news is that it’s not expensive or time intensive to make the outside of your home look stunning.
